I became a born again Christian in 1973  I had always been brought up in a Christian family, going to Church at the age of 2 weeks, Went to Sunday school, sung in the church choir, and attended the church youth club, all at Holy Trinity Church Fareham.

During the November 1973 the local churches put on a coffee bar, a time to chat & a time to listen to loud music. I went along one evening, someone came to speak to me about Jesus. I knew all the answers, because I had been to church, and I thought I was a Christian. During that night I was shown a booklet and was asked where Jesus was in my life

The question was put to me which circle better describes me?
I thought it was the 2nd circle. With Jesus in control of my life.
Two weeks latter 18th November 1973 I was at our Church youth club disco, half way through the disco the DJ announced that there was a prayer meeting going on if anybody wanted to attend. I felt that I should go as I though I was a Christian, during the prayer meeting one of my friends told us how he had just become a Christian. As I walked home that night I realised that I was not a Christian, and that night on my way home from the disco I asked Jesus to take control of my life. I have never looked back. It is great having a friend with you all of the time. Jesus can be your friend. Over the next few pages find out how Jesus has effected my life.
